1. On-Device Information

No account is required. Cities, favorites, poetry preferences, reading, and settings stay on your device until changed, deleted, or uninstalled, and are not automatically uploaded to Suishi. We do not show ads, sell personal information, use advertising IDs, track across apps, or automatically upload crash reports.

2. Weather and Location

Manual city selection needs no location access. City searches go to Apple's geocoding service; coordinates go to Apple WeatherKit. Place names and coordinates stay on your device for weather, sunrise, sunset, and related features.

“Use Current Location” requests permission while in use. Precise Location involves precise coordinates and detailed names such as streets and building numbers. Updates occur as needed in the foreground, without continuous background location or movement history. You can use approximate location, select cities manually, or revoke access.

3. Images, Notifications, and Watch

Resource requests involve IP addresses and necessary request information for delivery and security, without current location, favorites, or preferences. Images and weather caches are managed automatically on your device.

Saving requests permission only to add images to Photos, without scanning your library. User feedback reads only images selected with the system picker. Declining permission affects only saving; manage saved images in Photos.

Authorized reminders are scheduled locally and can be disabled in app or system settings. Weather reminders may fetch a selected city's weather in the background without a new device location. Lock Screen widgets and Live Activities may display cities and weather; you can remove or end them.

The app and widgets share necessary cities, display settings, poetry, and weather caches locally. A paired watch receives cities and coordinates, artwork, settings, and public holidays, and fetches weather from Apple. Favorites and poetry preferences are not synchronized.

4. User Feedback and Purchases

You explicitly confirm each feedback submission. Issue type, description, content ID, app version, optional email and up to two images are sent to address your issue. Images are re-encoded to remove camera and location metadata, but visible personal information may remain; review before sending. Feedback needs no statistics and includes no installation ID. It is retained for 90 days; contact the email above with your feedback ID to request deletion.

Apple handles payments, subscriptions, and refunds. Verified transaction status determines access; we receive no card numbers or payment passwords. Uninstalling does not cancel subscriptions.

5. Usage Statistics

On first use, you can choose to help improve Suishi. If you agree, artwork, companion, wallpaper, widget, and Pro usage is recorded automatically. Content IDs, actions and times, entry points, app version, random installation and session IDs, and feature, membership, and error information are sent to improve content and investigate problems. Records contain no location, cities, personal photos, personal content text, email, or Apple transaction credentials. Random IDs link records from one installation and are not fully anonymous.

Declining does not affect features. “Help Improve Suishi” in Settings lets you stop statistics, or stop and delete this installation's uploaded details. Turning it off stops collection and uploads but does not delete uploaded records. Your choice is saved; enabling it again uses a new ID.

Usage details are retained for 90 days; aggregates without installation IDs for 24 months, and cannot be deleted by installation. Service backups expire within 30 days; deleted information may remain until expiry and is not used for routine queries.

6. Management and Security

Information you send us directly by email is used only to respond and handle requests, and retained as necessary.

Manage information in the app, revoke location, photo, and notification access in system settings, or contact us for access, copies, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. Uninstalling removes app-managed local information; manage photos, shared copies, system backups, and watch information separately. We cannot read your local information directly. Encrypted transmission and access restrictions protect received information; security incidents are handled and reported as required by law. Apple and your chosen email, sharing, and file services use their own privacy rules.

For users under fourteen, a guardian must consent and assist with personal-information features. Material changes will be notified, with renewed consent obtained beforehand where required. Contact the email above with questions or requests.
